2016 Wisconsin Wild Turkey Stamp- (Prints now available please go to Gallery page to order)

A painting of a tom turkey in a Wisconsin farmland setting, submitted by Robert B. Andrea of Spooner, received first place in the 2016 Wild Turkey Stamp design contest. While Andrea has submitted artwork in past wildlife stamp design contests, this is his first time winning a blue ribbon. Andrea has been painting and drawing since he was 7 years old. While his skills are mostly self-taught, both his mother and his uncle provided artistic inspiration.

All turkey hunters are required to purchase the $5.25 Wild Turkey Stamp to legally hunt turkeys in Wisconsin, and proceeds help provide vital support for turkey management and hunting in Wisconsin. Wild Turkey Stamp sales represent over three-quarters of a million dollars annually for wild turkey and habitat management, restoration projects, education, research, and equipment purchases.

2016 Oregon Water Fowl Stamp

Oregon has had a waterfowl stamp every year since 1984. Since waterfowl validations are now printed directly on hunting licenses, ODFW no longer requires that the actual physical stamp be carried in the field while hunting. However, stamps are still available at no additional charge to hunters who purchased a validation and stamps are available for collectors to purchase for $11.50. Waterfowl stamps and validations raise about $500,000 annually with proceeds benefiting waterfowl management and habitat. ODFW also holds annual contests for the Habitat Conservation stamp and Upland Game Bird stamp.

The winner for the 2016 stamp was chosen on November 7th, 2015 by a panel of five judges, followed by a public art show and wine tasting event at Duck Pond Cellars in Dundee, OR.
